OVERVIEW: Minion Soap Dispenser Various Characters


Since the very first movie Despicable Me, my kids have been obsessed with the minions. My eldest daughter not as much but the first time I put the movie on for my little one...... Wham. Pure love. We don't have many minion things in the house I'm sad to say, so when my boyfriend saw this at our local store he knew I would love it. And he was right.

The price on Amazon is currently $20+ for the Dave minion. Wow. That's insane for a soap dispenser lol. I paid $9 with tax at my local store (HEB) and thought that was ridiculous. I'm a bargain mama, so that much for soap is just unheard of in this house.

Review: I got it out of the box and honestly I was a little skeptical.

It feels like ceramic. Not a good choice from the makers in my opinion. Minions are supposed to appeal to children right? One drop from a child and this could literally be in pieces. I doubt it could fall from any height and not suffer some type of crack.

It's heavy. I mean heavy. It's a freaking soap dispenser! Why so heavy?

The fragrance is nice, it says tropical coconut. It's very strong so if you prefer something that's more neutral this one isn't for you lol.

It's made very well. I must admit. Pretending this is for an adult this is made to last. The leg did fall off a couple times but that was due to my 2 year old and it clicked back in easily.

Now...... I just have one random complaint. The color and texture of the soap is really..... off.. Maybe I'm just a perve. Who knows. But it looks waaaaaay too much like something I'd rather not wash my hands with. It's an off white, creamy, color that is kind of thick and doesn't spread as easily as most soaps. It looks exactly like the something I'm not mentioning. Seriously.

Other than that I'd give this 4 ✨ stars. It's great but not perfect due to the material it's made out of. I'd like to see it made from something more kid friendly.

So I don't normally do reviews of movies but I thought I'd start here since it's a fairly new movie. New to DVD anyway, and lets face it most of us moms don't have time to go to the theater or keep up with what movies are out so honestly you might not have even heard of this movie lol.

Anyway, I think The Escort is actually a super surprising love story. Sorry if that's tmi already but it is! An escort (someone paid for sex) meets a lonely possibly sex addicted guy who ends up wanting to do a story on her for a well known magazine. You can see where this is going right? There are times where its rather boring and honestly if you dont really have time to just hang around or if you're choosing a movie for your once in a month movie night I wouldn't chose this one. I'd give it 3/5 stars. It's a cute movie but I couldn't watch it all at once, its extremely inappropriate for kids (obviously) and very predictable.
